About

Enigmatic jewellery designer, Holly Budge, creates limited edition pieces 'inspired by life'. Her appetite for the extreme is evident in her bold designs and carefully selected materials sourced from the farthest reaches of the planet. By combining a creative spirit with her curiosity for the world, Holly enables you to garnish yourself in adventure.

Holly's trademark style - big, bold and independent - is unapologetic, makes a statement, satisfies a strong desire for self expression and unique style.

Her eco-chic designs are handcrafted in her Hampshire based studio, using carefully and ethically sourced materials, including vegetable ivory, leather, semi-precious gemstones and recycled sterling silver. Each piece is engrained with a unique story, inspired by Holly's adventures. In 2008, she became the first woman to skydive over Mount Everest and in 2009, galloped 1000kms across Mongolia on semi-wild Mongolian horses, finding turquoise and other local stones on the way.

“I collect and treasure gemstones, shells and metals which I find in the most bizarre and wonderful places. The intriguing colour combinations, mixed with tales of adventure, are guaranteed to transport you away from the daily grind to faraway exotic places, rich in colour and possibilities. There is a tale and a meaning in each piece of jewellery I create."

Holly’s voyage into jewellery design began alongside her mother, Linda, who introduced her to the exciting world of beads. The two started coming up with their own designs and discovered their mutual passion for colour, creativity and adventure, eventually leading to a successful business partnership. Twelve years on, Holly says that there has been a lot of education in terms of the materials and techniques they employ. They are both silversmiths and make their own glass beads for the designs.

As well as being a jewellery designer and adventurer, Holly is an award-winning web designer. She traded in her skydiving career in New Zealand to return to the classroom in the UK and study for a degree in design, animation and film. She graduated with a First Class Honours Degree and an award-winning multimedia e-learning platform, E-FLI, which she built for students learning to skydive. She is continuing her work on the global success of E-FLI, but is also dedicating time to new adventures, guest speaking and of course, running a jewellery business.
