‘Poseidon’, translates to 'Earth-Shaker' in Greek mythology is a one of a kind necklace, inspired by the recent 7.1 Christchurch Earthquake.
7.1% of this sale will be donated to the Canterbury Earthquake Appeal.
Handcrafted by Holly in her New Zealand based studio using carefully and ethically sourced recycled sterling silver. Holly makes the chain from sterling silver wire; cut, hammered and polished by hand, signifying the spirit and inherent strength of the Christchurch community that congregated together in the face of adversity. To complement the chain, Holly has included a hand-stamped 7.1 charm in fine silver.
Holly combines a stunning Karen Hill Tribe fine silver centre bead, discovered in Northern Thailand, with Peruvian Turquoise and Indian Aqua Blue Chalcedony, believed to stimulate optimism, relieve hostility and brings tranquility. To complement, Holly has used sterling silver and fine
silver beads which she has collected from India, Thailand and Nepal.
You can wear this versatile necklace either long, short or layered with other pieces. You can enjoy the flexibility of this very distinctive design, looking as stylish with a pair of jeans as a little black dress.
Measurements: Drop length 55cms
Care: Polish the silver chain & gemstones using a non-abrasive cleaning cloth. Avoid water & detergents. Store in a dry place, preferably in a zip-lock bag to prevent the silver tarnishing or scratching.
